The bed and breakfast is the newest inn and the only first generation B and B in the village. The generous yard and gardens surrounding the bed and breakfast offer an out-of-town tranquility, while the location offers in-town convenience to Bar Harbor. The inn is a few short blocks from the pier and all of the shops and restaurants the town is famous for. Only minutes from Acadia National Park, the inn offers an outstanding location, nine unique and modern rooms, and an extraordinary gourmet breakfast. There are five rooms in the main house. This house was first opened as an inn, brand new in 1997. The room names are derived from mountains and hikes on the island. You do not need to climb to the rooms. This building houses the inns' common areas. The living room, parlor, and sun porch each offer ways to peruse maps, menus and local information. The sun porch also offers a variety of games for your enjoyment. The "at home" feeling of the house and bedrooms, the innkeeper sharing local insight, and the joy and surprise of a new and different gourmet breakfast every morning really sets the Holland Inn apart. In 2002 the property was expanded across the backyard, adding four brand new rooms, with the renovation of what is called the Quietside Cottage. This house sits just behind the main house with a big open yard and nicely landscaped paths to take you between. Most of the rooms in this house are larger than the main house rooms and have significant sitting areas, some with a balcony or private patio. There are no common areas in the Quietside Cottage. The nine light-filled rooms all have private baths with modern amenities, A/C, and cable TV, all with an inviting country decor. Wireless internet access is available in all areas.

Step back into the 19th century in this large, gracious 1846 Victorian home, just two blocks up from Eastport Maine's Historic District Waterfront. Our historic B&B inn accommodations are a wonderful lodging alternative to local hotels or motels. Victorian buffs will be delighted with the ornately carved, marble-topped furniture, knick knacks and books with which the builder, Benjamin F. Milliken, furnished his home, and which he left intact. Mr. Milliken maintained a wharf on Eastport's busy waterfront from which he serviced the tall ships that used the harbor for a flourishing international trade throughout the 1800's. The Milliken House Bed and Breakfast offers elegant accommodations and a restful, comfortable B&B atmosphere. Guests may enjoy a complimentary glass of port or sherry in the large double living room, containing two marble fireplaces where there is cable television, board games, and a fire on coldish days. There are six guest rooms on the second and third floors, uniquely furnished with lovely Victorian Renaissance and Eastlake furniture and decorated with the mementos left behind by the Milliken family. The Milliken HouseThe Milliken House is noted for its breakfasts, which are sumptuous, and as elegant as the heavy carved dining room furniture from which they are served. Delicious buttermilk pancakes served with a variety of fruit sauces made from native island berries and topped with whipped cream; blueberry crepes; and Quiche Lorraine number among the many specialties of the Milliken House, always accompanied by beautiful fresh fruit trays and homemade breads and sweetbreads.

Canal Side Cabins has six traditional Maine Sporting Camp Cabins that have been catering to vacationing fishermen, hunters, and families since the early 1900’s. We are the ONLY cabins in Grand Lake Stream that are open year round... Just like your home, All our cabins are properly insulated, so they stay nice and cozy during the winter season, yet stay cool in the summer with ample shade from neighboring trees. Located near West Grand Lake, Big Lake, and adjacent to the popular fly fishing stream known as Grand Lake Stream, our rustic log cabins are fully equipped with all the facilities necessary to provide you with an economical approach to your lodging needs under our housekeeping plan, which means... "You're the cook". Our lodge and cabins reflect the long history of Grand Lake Stream as a "sportsmen’s paradise." Since the 1800's sportsmen have traveled to the Grand Lake Stream area to enjoy the superb fishing and hunting (in those days a long and difficult journey for the determined sportsman- today a pleasant trip for the entire family). Grand Lake Stream was originally built with the world’s largest tannery to tan leather (the bark of hemlock trees in the area provided the tannic acid required) and for logging purposes. A log-driving dam was built at the exit of West Grand Lake and a canal parallel to the stream by passes this to take hemlock bark to the tannery located on the stream (now a state fish hatchery). Thus our cabins came into existence during the late 1800’s, overlooking the canal and the salmon pool (Dam Pool) below the dam. The tannery and log driving on the stream are now history. Today, Grand Lake Stream is a community visited by sportsmen and their families to enjoy the superb fishing, hunting and all outdoor activities that you enjoy in this area of numerous natural lakes and vast timberlands offers. The famous Grand Lake Stream that is approximately three miles long flows through the village of its namesake is known for some of the best Fly-Fishing for Landlocked Atlantic Salmon in the Northeast. We, at Canal Side Cabins offer you the comfortable facilities needed to make your vacation a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

In 2006, we discovered Lubec, Maine quite by accident and fell in love with the town, the people and the incredible natural beauty of the area. Within five days of arriving in Lubec, we bought a home on on Summer Street. The following summer, we purchased a historic sardine factory with its own wharf. It was our dream to preserve this historic building which is now 106 years old, while creating a modern comfortable Inn with both suites and apartments where guests can enjoy the moods of the sea, the friendliness of the town and the natural beauty which surrounds this most easterly town in the United States. We hope our guests adjust their watch to tide time, fall asleep to the sounds of the sea and wake up to the tranquility of a day beside the bay where a fresh catch from the sea will arrive right on our wharf while playful seals and whales swim nearby. Enjoy the freshest seafood delivered daily to our Wharf. We offer casual fine dining with a view of the water from every table. Enjoy the sunset from our deck. Magnificent Views of the Bay.
