We are Open Year Round!
Come discover the spacious lakefront cottages of Wilsons on Moosehead Lake. We are located down a private country road half a mile off Route 15, in the North Woods of Maine. Our cottages range from 1-5 bedrooms with full bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens, accommodating any number of parties. They all have thermostatic heat, electric, and hot and cold running water.
Panoramic Views: Spacious Waterfront Cottages and Sandy Beach
Every cottage has a panoramic view of Moosehead Lake and the surrounding mountains with Mount Katahdin standing majestically in the background. We have picnic areas, fire pits, hiking trails, boat launch and docks, and a sandy beach. Come see why folks say we have "Moosehead's Million Dollar View"!
Fishing: Trout, Bass, Lake Togue, Salmon and more!
Our cottages are directly on Moosehead Lake where the lake meets the Headwaters of the Kennebec River. The lake and river are the natural breeding grounds for trout and salmon, and the dam is the gateway through which thousands of these fish pass. We are also conveniently located to small ponds and streams for wild native brook trout and trophy small-mouthed bass. Wilsons has a Master Maine Guide on site, and we work with local guides to assure your success. Visit our fishing page for more information on fishing Moosehead Lake and fly fishing the World Famous East Outlet of the Kennebec River - just steps from your cottage door.
Hiking!
Hiking opportunites abound in the surrounding mountains of the Moosehead Lake Region. From the easy walk into the historical crash site of a B-52 bomber to the more challenging hike all the way to the top of Big Spencer mountain at an elevation of 3,230 feet, there are options for every level of ambition. Be sure to bring your camera as the chances of seeing wildlife and catching a beautiful view of the lake are high! See the hikes
