Albric Ouellette started buying land in 1928 and by 1932 he had accumulated all of what is now known as Sandy Point Beach Resort. He started with only a few cottages, and the restaurant was just a snack bar. Over the years it was built up to 77 units, (motels and cottages.) The beaches were improved so that the sand would not wash away. Sandy Point is now run by the third generation of Ouellettes. Many improvements have been made over the years, which is part of the reason why we have families who return year after year.

Once you are settled, you and your family can walk to Arcades, Restaurants, Mini-Golf, Water Slides, Stores, Shops and an Ice Cream Stand. For Swimming you are a short walk to Weirs Beach, or a shorter walk to a small semi-private Beach at the end of Baker St. In the evening, there are live bands and clubs a short walk away. Weekly Fireworks at Weirs Beach can be seen from our beach or from the main Boardwalk. For the winter we have Ski-n-Stay discounts with Gunstock Recreational Center. The Lakeside Get-A-Way has been operating for over 50 years. The building was built around the turn of the century. Located in the original village of Weirs Beach, surrounded by quaint cottages. Most people have been coming since they were small children. Since our purchase we have undergone tremendous renovations to restore it's charm and purpose. A Great Place for All Seasons - Relax and enjoy our out door pool or take a stroll down to the beach on beautiful Lake Wentworth. A biking and jogging trail is located a short distance from the Motor Inn. We are located two miles north of the center of Wolfeboro, were you can find many restaurants, churches, and shops. Forty-three guest rooms are available with most having two full sized beds. All have air-conditioning and cable TV. Pets are allowed.
