1848 Inn and Resort
Our establishment is steeped in history. Built in 1848 as an inn and as a carriage stop, the original owners were active abolitionists who harbored runaway slaves bound for Canada. The small room used to hide these fugatives was discovered some 100 years later by the children of the previous owner. During those 100 years, the 1848 served as a functioning cow farm and was tied to all the land that currently lies between Route 3 and Parade Rd. During the grand hotel era of Weirs Beach, the 1848 was known as the Batchelder Farm, owned by a branch of that same family who owned much of the land along New Hampshire's seacoast.

1875 Inn and Patriot Tavern
The 1875 Inn at Tilton was originally built as a country inn for housing guests visiting the area.
