"Happy We Stayed There"
Aug 27, 2007 Lerual, Boston area, Massachusetts
Good location about a ten-minute walk from Camden. Very clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. (We had a good-sized one-room "mini-suite" with two queen beds and stayed one night en route from Boston to Bar Harbor.) Computer in lobby for free guest use. Restaurant is closed on Mondays so an adequate (free) continental breakfast is served on that day
"Great Find in wonderful Mid-Coastal Location"

We spent 5 nights at this motel on an Elderhostel Hiking Trip. The food was wonderful, the staff very accommodating and the grounds lovingly cared for with many flowers and attractive landscaping. Local attractions, the library and nearby Rockland, ME art museum and art galleries made it all the more pleasant. Will stay there again when we return to Maine...

Welcome to Cedar Crest Inn. We hope you enjoy the slide show above depicting our dedication to continually improving upon an already great Camden, Maine lodging spot. Our quaint guest rooms are more reminiscant of a small New England Inn than the small, chain motels so common today. Our future plans include furnishing upgrades and carefully listening to guests suggestions for general, overall improvements. Your stay at Cedar Crest Inn will be complemented by personal service from a staff who aims to please. We’ll make your stay memorable and bet that you’ll return again and again.
Situated in beautiful Camden, Maine, Cedar Crest Inn is on a wooded lot amid three and one half acres of professionally-landscaped gardens, with a pleasant view of Mt. Battie. Cedar Crest started out as a boarding home in the main house (our present-day lobby) in 1927, changed into overnight cabins, evolved into a modern motel and settled into 2008 as Cedar Crest Inn. Over the years, the rooms have grown in number and are housed in three separate buildings, for a total of 37 guest rooms today. We have many of the up-to-the-minute amenities you would expect from a AAA property. We recently added Wireless Internet in all of our rooms and in our restaurant. We have a heated, outdoor pool, laundry facilities, and our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, specializing in hand tossed pizza.
Staying at Cedar Crest Inn for just a few days gives you ample time to enjoy the varied leisure activities not far from your doorstep, such as hiking, golfing, sailing or kayaking. If that’s a little too energetic for your tastes, a bit of cheese tasting at Maine Cheese just down the road on Route One, or museum explorations in Rockland and Owl’s Head, may be just what you’re looking for. If you prefer walking, there are plenty of opportunities close by. Taking a journey down to Camden Village is a fifteen minute walk away, and there’s also Merryspring Gardens, which is only 150 feet or so from your door. With all that said, you can still relax and enjoy a non strenuous stay.
Cedar Crest Inn is inspected and rated by AAA annually. We take pride in the fact that we have one of the most immaculate accommodations in the region. Also, our restaurant, Elm Street Grille, has been awarded three annual Best Breakfast in Knox County awards. The staff continually demonstrates their devotion to the art of cooking by creating excellent dishes to the delight of locals and guests from outer regions.
Cedar Crest is a great place to unwind from everyday stresses. Guests can relax and enjoy attractive surroundings throughout the public areas, while enjoying the inn's diverse landscape. There are 37 well-appointed rooms, all equipped with cable TV, blow dryers, irons and ironing boards, coffee makers and private bathrooms.
Open May through October, the Cedar Crest is an ideal venue for wedding guests, conference participants, reunions, tours, groups and special occasions of all sorts. Please note reservations are recommended and we hope to see you soon!
We are continually looking for ways to be a more
