7 Seas Whale Watch has been leading Gloucester whale watching tours for over 26 years. We are located on Cape Ann, just a forty-five minute drive north of Boston, in the heart of historic downtown Gloucester, MA.
Cape Ann's geographic location is directly between two major whale feeding grounds, which are the summer home to numerous whales, dolphins and a wide variety of sea-birds, giving us the fastest access to the very best whale watching in New England - An exciting educational activity for the entire family.
Our Commitment to Research, Education & Responsible Whale Watching:
7 Seas Whale Watch takes pride in our commitment to education and environmental awareness. Every one of our whale watching trips is led by a professional marine biologist.
Our team naturalists are the most experienced whale biologists in Gloucester. Combined they have studied whales in Massachusetts, Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, South America, Antarctica, Australia, and New Zealand! This means that our passengers have the opportunity to interact with and learn directly from the leading experts in the field of whale research.
We consider it a privilege to be able to share with you the abundance of whales and other marine life that inhabits the waters of New England. By doing so we hope to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the whales and their fragile marine environment. We believe that doing all we can to support the research and conservation of these endangered animals is an essential responsibility of our business.

October 9, 2008: 13 HUMPBACK WHALES (including 2 mother and calf pairs)
Even as our whale watch season reaches its end (we will be running trips for just a few more weeks) the number of whales on Stellwagen Bank has not diminished. Often times at this late point in the season we see a gradual dwindling of the number of whales as many whales begin their migration south towards their breeding grounds. This year, however, is different. For example today (October 9th) we saw at least 12 HUMPBACK WHALES just 13 miles outside Gloucester Harbor.PLEASE follow the link below to read complete report of this trip. You will be AMAZED by the pictures......Click here for more details and to view photographs taken on today's whale watching trips.
